By including a range of accommodation options, things to see and taste, and a Porto itinerary plan, the only thing you need to do is pack your suitcase and bookmark this blog. So, let’s begin!

This neighbourhood is excellent for cultural enthusiasts, photographers and solo travellers. Ribiera is also known as Oporto’s Soul, which is proof of the historical and timeless importance of the quarter itself.
Apart from the popular Azulejo Art, you can also enjoy the colourfulness of the beautiful facades of the houses. If you don’t have enough time to visit everything, just make sure to add Ribeira Square to your Porto travel itinerary, where you can feel the local energy at its best. Look for accommodation in:
Se Catedral Hotel Porto, Tapestry Collection By Hilton
It is a hotel decorated with details and famous for its fabulous breakfast. The colour red, the colour of love, prevails throughout the hotel and is an ideal place for couples to stay. The literal translation of Baixa means downtown, the heart of the city, which is definitely what this place is. Why is Baixa a must-visit during your one week in Porto? Another souvenir of this neighbourhood is the impressive Felgueiras Lighthouse, which has a beautiful panoramic view and unique maritime charm. If you want to try seafood specialities, definitely do it here. This neighbourhood is ideal for foodies because many shops have local street food.

This part of the city is very close to Baixa, so it has easy access to metro lines A (Blue), B (Red), and C (Green). It is also close to the famous Livraria Lello, a must-visit.
If you want to feel a traditional atmosphere, head to one of the cafes in Largo Priorado Square. You can also visit the famous Jardin de Sao Lazaro here while staying in one of the most budget-friendly apartments in the area.

The nearest airport is Francisco Sá Carneiro, which is only 15 km from the hotel. Hotel guests can also take advantage of fitness centres on the premises.
2.5 Where to stay in Boavista
If you want to see the most attractive modern architectural gem during your 1 week in Porto, Casa de Musica, come to Boavista. This urban district also hides the beautiful Parque da Cidade and many museums that will appeal to modern travellers.
This diverse and lively district is close to Foz do Douro, which has gorgeous beaches. If you need to do some shopping, walk along Avenida da Boavista. Travelling with your partner who happens to be a huge football fan? Surprise him and watch a game together at the Estadio do Bessa!
